Female Ravers United is an international digital community and meet-up group dedicated to promoting fashion, community, diversity, equality, and inclusion within the dance music scene. Founded in 2017, we are deeply immersed in the culture and events of the dance music community. In addition to our community activities,

Female Ravers United publishes a blog, hosts a podcast, curates’ events, hosts lectures, and manages promotions. This website serves as a showcase for the photos featured on our blog, while also providing an introduction to who we are.

Let's get more women, gender fluid, non-binary, and POC folks behind the lense.

Who is

Female Ravers United ?

Female Ravers United Community: FRU was created over 7 years ago to uplift and further unite the voices of the dance music scene. This is something that we are actively achieving through community, friendship, and creating a space where everyone is welcome, and everyone is heard.

This group is open to women, those who are gender fluid, those who are non-binary, and those gender nonconforming folks who feel like this group is the safe haven of which they are seeking in the music scene.

We are a well-rounded community that has over 50,000 active members strong. Our group hosts meet-ups, events, community activations, giveaways, conversations about the scene, conversations about festivals fashion, musical artists, and more.

A Snapshot of Us <3

Hello, I'm Ellie Barker, the creator of Female Ravers United! I'm passionate about equity, equality, and breaking glass ceilings for women and minorities in the music festival scene. In 2017, I founded Female Ravers United on Facebook as a safe space for women and gender-diverse individuals to connect, build community, and attend shows safely. Since then, we've grown tremendously.

Our mission now includes harm reduction, empowering our members in the scene, and fostering a global sense of community. We span multiple countries and boast over 50,000 active members.

One of our key expansions is into festival photography. We aim to provide opportunities for more women to enter the industry and establish themselves. Our photography not only captures the vibrant energy of festivals but also aligns with our mission of inclusivity and empowerment.
